Every car that passes through Zen is inspected twice — once at origin before it ships, and again on arrival in Ghana before we release it to you. "280 points" is shorthand for the structured checklist our inspectors work through every time.
The categories
- Engine: 42 checks — compression, belts, fluids, oil condition, cold start, idle stability, exhaust sampling, hoses, mounts.
- Transmission: 28 checks — shift quality, fluid color, leak check, torque converter lock-up, manual mode response (if applicable).

- Braking: 22 checks — pad thickness, rotor runout, caliper condition, ABS self-test, parking brake hold, fluid condition.
- Electrical: 44 checks — battery health, alternator output, starter draw, all lights, wipers, window motors, HVAC cycles, sensors.
- Body & paint: 31 checks — panel gaps, paint depth per panel, evidence of prior repair, rust check in 18 locations.

- EV / PHEV specific: 52 checks — battery state of health, cell balance, charging port, charging speed, regenerative braking, thermal management.
What we do with what we find
Every finding is logged and categorized. Items that affect safety or reliability are fixed before the car is cleared for sale — this is what "professionally refurbished" means. Cosmetic items are disclosed in the condition report; we don't hide them, but we don't always repair them either, because doing so would push the price up for everyone.
What you get at delivery
- Full inspection report with every finding, pass/fail, and action taken.
- VIN history — we pull the report from the origin market's database (typically for Geely imports from China).
- Battery health certificate for every EV/PHEV, showing state of health at delivery.
- Condition report before you pay the balance — so if anything is off, we resolve it first.
The whole point: you don't need to trust us blindly. You can read the report yourself.
